Because VideoScribe utilises high-definition D1 MPEG-4 encoding (720 x 576 pixel resolution at full frame-rates) for recording video, all the fine detail and motion in any observation is captured.. The other advantage of MPEG-4 is that hundreds of hours of video can be recorded on a single laptop, and up to 4 cameras can be simultaneously connected and recorded at full frame-rates.
